Well, paid a visit to Peter's house today. Peter has a nice house and a fantastic observatory. Nice and solid, with a roll off roof that just moves at the slightest push. Housed inside this is a very dependable G11 Mount by Losmandy. Looks very slick. However, what is the best is the Takahashi refractor which is a real monster. This is the second largest model they make and shows all the class and build of these great telescope makers. This scope is fantastic with a complete compliment of eyepieces to die for. I viewed Peter's new EP the 14mm UW Meade. It was no exaggeration when he said it was the size of a beer can. Made in japan and very heavy. I bet he is champing at the bit to use it on that Tak.
We talked over some plans that Peter has to put a pier in the observatory as I looked lovingly over his Tak. The pier should make the ultimate finishing touches to an excellent observatory.
Incidently, Peter is a real nice guy, I took a liking to him right off the bat. We talked about spending an evening going over some imaging. Can't wait for that.:D
