I can offer these scopes for sale but only pick up at Astrofest as there is no original packaging.

1. 12" Skywatcher BD reflector F/4.9 w/rings and Losmandy style plate & R/A finder. xlnt condition. (has LP focuser for DSLR) $600.00 o.n.o (SOLD)

2. 10" Skywatcher BD reflector F/5 w/rings has slight dent in tube. (also with lp focuser for DSLR) $250.00 or o.n.o (SOLD)

3. TAL200K Klevsov/cassegrain F/10 w/1.25" RP focuser and set up for planetary AP. Mount with RA motor included but clockwork mechanism needs repair. $500.00 o.n.o (SOLD)

4. Orion MN190 F/5.3 w/rings. Has larger secondary for AP with full frame sensors. I think these Orion branded scopes are now not available in Australia. (SOLD)

5. Orion 6" RC Astrograph. Has dual speed Crayford focuser and vixen bar attached. $250.00 o.n.o (SOLD)

If you would like to make a reasonable offer for any of these scopes I will be very receptive as it would be a shame to just leave them sitting in the shed.

Hi
Would you consider selling the lp focuser from the 10" bd seperately?
Thanks
Stephan

Sorry Stephan...it has the focuser that enables a T ring to be screwed directly onto the focuser giving a lower profile...it is not an after market focuser.

Hi Dan,

You used to own one of these if I remember correctly?

The model number of this one is 0301/96.

Purchased from Matthew in 2009 but not used much due to the narrow field of view.....

However the views of the moon and planets are exceptionally good....I could see inside the craters on the moon!

Did you buy it from Matthew secondhand?

Yep I did own one of these :) Whether I regret selling it is still to be determined. I probably would have kept it if I could get a suitable reducer. Anyways, I agree that these are exceptional scopes with a unique design. Collimation holds well. Very few of these in Australia. Bargain price too. If only I was in QLD ;)

Dan,

It was brand new when I got it from Matthew...he had it collimated by his mate at the Adelaide Astro club and it is spot on!

The mirror is in pristine condition.

From memory it cost $38 to ship the scope via Aust Post but the mount was a bit more due to the weight.

The only reason for not using the scope is my eyesight has deteriorated since the cataract operation and I only use bino-viewers thru the MN190 now.

I would love this scope to go to some-one who appreciates it's qualities and would make good use of it.

Maybe we could work something out?

cheers,

Phil

Sorry to hear about the eyesight :(

I thought the last two numbers represented the year the scope was made? Mine was 02 which sounds about right as the scope was 4 years old when I got it in 2006. Maybe I'm wrong. Also, the newer Tals are f/8.5. Not sure what year the focal length changed.

As much as I might want to consider one, money is needed to save up for the family to move. Plus, my work commitments don't allow me any time at the moment to use my scopes. Hopefully someone picks it up at astrofest.
