Hi All

I'm after some opinions on an early stitch of another vertorama from my NZ trip earlier in the year. I'm a little torn on which one I like better.

There hasnt been any real processing done to these yet just basic NR then stitching/cropping. I'm trying to think which version of the shot I should look to spend my limited processing time on. There is a little more data on some of the sides that I might be able to recrop/restitch with a different projection.

Anyway I thought I'd open it up to the forum here after the great suggestions with my last vertorama.

1 - Full horizon to Horizon Shot on the road to Mt Cook
2 - View up towards Mt Cook Village
3 - View to the south with my trusty ride for the trip in the shot.

Let me know which one you think I should concentrate on :)

Cheers

Matt

Number 2 wins. :)

And, number 1 would be better if you cropped from the bottom so that the top and bottom parts of the landscape are equal in length. Because the Milky Way is going straight up and down, through the middle, it would help the composition if both the top and bottom landscape were also equal. That's my take from an artistic/compositional point of view.

Thanks for the feedback H.
So you mean with no 1 to have as much landscape in the top and the bottom (cropping the bottom so there is a similar amount?) I originally had it up the other way but thought the land was too heavy and the car "grounded" the shot, so I think I get what you mean there isnt balance in the ground/sky

Yep, precisely. :)

Great looking photos Matt.

Number 2 is also my favourite. It has the most "balanced" composition.
