I thought there must have been a police operation today here in the lower blue mountains but it turned out that the local energy supplier were checking the power lines in our area. They must have spent well over an hour circling around the district disturbing the normally quiet serenity of the mountains area.

Steve, at least they were doing it during the day. When the armed forces decide to do an anti-terrorist exercise in Sydney they do it at night. The choppers come over us multiple times over several hours and low enough that you feel the sound.
