On Saturday afternoon I went for a drive around Point Clare and Woy Woy, scouting locations for potential photographic opportunities.
Took these shots along Brisbane Water Drive, at the old "Sheathers" boat ramp/jetty. I think Ken Duncan has a (much nicer) shot of this area too. I'm pretty sure he would've had the "pull" to get the people to move their ugly boats :P
Taken with the 18-55mm lens, no filters. Processed in Raw Shooter Premium and Photoshop CS.
Thanks for looking.

Great shots Mike, you have a natural flair for all things photographic. The shots keep on getting better and better.

:thumbsup:Great shots Mike, gotta agree, the third shot is my pick.
Silly question, how do you do your borders?, they add depth to an image, and i would like to try on some of my shots.

Thanks for the comments, I agree the 3rd is the best of the bunch. It's my favourite too.
It's easy Trev - in photoshop, I resize the image down to 750px wide (and whatever height that ends up at), and then I do image->canvas size, and increase the canvas size to 800px wide (add 50px to height as well). Make sure your background colour is black.
Then I just draw a rectangle selection around the outside, and go edit->stroke and add a 1px colour border.
Thanks

I should add that my "resize for web" routine that involves some unsharp masking and the size reduction, and also includes the canvas size setting, is all packaged up in a photoshop action.
So I just click on "landscape resize" and hit go and it does it all for me.
3rd one for me too Mike.
It's interesting to note how the ramp splits the photo down the middle with the two different sky tones on eaither side of it.
