Having seen Triton, Neptune's largest moon, at 2700km diameter and visual magnitude +13.7, one can appreciate the find of such a small moon only 20km across.
Nice work by the researchers.

Hmm, a lot fainter than Nereid (Neptune's third-largest moon) which I managed to image a couple of years ago. I think I’ll give this one a miss.:)
Thanks for the heads up Doug, it’s always interesting to read about these new discoveries and how they came to light.
Cheers

Hi Rob,
Can I ask what equipment you used to sight Triton ? I have assumed you meant visually,
Thanks
