I took this one near Yattalunga the other morning, looking East over Kincumber Broadwater.

The first exposure was started and then I ran in the shot, which is why my silhouette on the right is partly see through. I combined it with another shot where I put it on the self-timer, so my silhouette on the left is completely black (I was in place for the whole exposure).

Which silhouette looks better? My first instinct is the left one, but there's something pretty good about partly seeing through me too.

Gee I like them both, altho the see through one certainly makes you look again (I reckon) :thumbsup:

Wearing two hats here::)

As an amateur photographer, I prefer the solid Mike.
As a lay person, the ghostly Mike looks intriguing and makes the scene appear more ethereal.

Nice shot Mike.
Maybe try a bit of creative / humour next time by different poses, something like first "you" pointing to the sky, and the other "you" looking at first "you" scratching your head or something like that :)

I think both would look better without the fluoro patches on your coat. For the pose and composition probably the left silhouette is better. The partial silhouette has potential but I would think it needs to be larger (you closer to the camera) with a soft focus (indistinct edges) and something iconic within your outline (Crux, Scorpio ?)

BTW does your wife ever say that she can see right through you?? :shrug: :P

Soo... now there's two of you? :confuse3: Technically not a selfie, maybe you started a new trend. A duet? Nice colors. :thumbsup:

Nice shot there Mike!!

I do like the ghostly version... makes for a "wish I was there" kind of shot...

I think a trend of "how many selfs can you fit in a shot" might make for an interesting challenge... no photoshop trickery... all in camera I think the rule should be! :)

Keep the great shots coming! :thumbsup:
