I am in NERD heaven.

After winning a schokarship to attend Space Camp in the USA I have finally arrived for 5 days of professional development and I can only say Yahoooooooooooo. Was the Commander of the Lunar mission to the moon where we did a two and a half hour simulation of what the astronauts had to do for various aspects of the mission. What a hoot. There were the control room, lunar module with lift of of the Saturn V and docking, transit to the moon, mission on the moon and return to Earth.

Brief tour of the establishment and talk from Space Shuttle astronaut Don Thomas who flew into space on four missions with questions and photos.

Day 1 over. Bring on day 2 Space Shuttle simulation.
