I just got back from my daughter's wedding in WA. On Friday while driving back to Perth we stopped in to see The Pinnacles - about 18ks south of Cervantes. A worthwhile stop I thought! The pinnacles are all limestone.

Here's a few shots from the Pinnacles. It struck me while I was there it would be a great location for some nightscapes too, but I'm not sure what the go would be for access after dark. Probably park at the gate and walk in:shrug:...

I didn't realise how time was passing while there. I was happy to wander about taking shots and panos, but about 1/2 way through I noticed the others weren't getting out of the car so often... I think we must've spent nearly 2 hours there (still we managed to check into our accommodation in Perth with 3 minutes to spare;):D).

Yeah, great spot for nightscapes. Last time I visited at night you could drive in no probs. No gate.

I'm heading there in September. Definitely hoping to be able to get in at night.

Graham Kelaher has some fantastic recent nightscapes from there.

Yep, its a bit of a special landscape. There are a few views there that could fit into a star wars movie, or, in fact, the Life of Brian.;)

I knew nothing about them till I got to Geraldton. I saw them on a map and thought it might be interesting, then someone recommended we stop for a look, and there we go... Robert's your aunty's brother.

I wonder how many photographers are at the Nambung National Park on any given weekend evening ... must be cameras and flashes everywhere considering how heavily photographed it is, day & night

A shame you didn't go to Lake Thetis as well... Stromatolites there are a good sight to see.
