This one is in season. I got the opportunity last Sunday to do 5h in 5min subs from a dark site at a mate's farm not far from Stuart Town. First serious imaging time since the SPSP 2103. SHot that one with my 600mm refractor and the QHY8. I have a 80% version of the full field here (https://public.bn1.livefilestore.com/y2ppPODvmyIH9Caowf_GvJVnZSTA5zlvurk _9lRJry3-arh184dapYFTb4RhmbxoCxwyaUefS2SFqKx CcidS-1FRg/NGC6726_color_placidus_fff.jpg?psid =1).
Thanks for looking.

Verrry nice Marc! Colours a tad understated for my taste but still a very pleasing image to look at. I like the composition too!

Cheers, Marcus

Thanks guys. Yeah color saturation might be a little light. I think I've done mono for too long. My taste buds are too sensitive to sweet now. :P

Nice one Marc. 5hrs of dark sky data should allow you to crank up the contrast and saturation just a wee bit more though? Looking great already though.

Excellent result Marc, see... you can do great colour work  andf I don't necessarily think it needs any saturation increase really

Now just need to convince your mentor John Gleason, he can do colour too

Thanks Rob. Here's one just for you. :)

Thank Mike. This one turned out alright. No gradients to contend with and I could image pretty low with the same results. No wash out. Bloody cold though. Got down to -4c. :cold:. No issues with dew. It just iced up and stayed dry.

Nah, that one's too good. Could you turn the sat down a bit and resample it to a lower resolution!? :P

that's a very fine image Marc - I also like the relatively restrained colour. Regards ray

I think you have gone to the heavy-weight division with that one.

All technical aspects are really well handled.

The colour is very accurate...but...sometimes the market likes neon better ;)

I like it a lot. One for the cool wall

 I might send you the RAW files and you can cook your own?

Thanks Ray. So do I. But I guess it depends on the mood of the day. This one is a bit like Rho Ophiuchus. Very easy to go crazy on it. :)

Thanks Peter. Glad you like the colors. Still not 100% on the stars but I was pleased with the colors. Darkest skies I have imaged under so far. Makes colour balancing a cinch. I'll have to dust off the cool wall. It's been neglected for a long while.

Thats some mighty nice dust Marc, I havent done this area yet, but saying that is 5.5hrs tells me its a rather challenging target, That said,, It looks real good, well, to me anyway
Nice work, and good you had some more dark sky time

Nice one Marc - with the 90mm refractor? Good clean field with great detail (I can make out that little spiral at 2 o'clock) The colour in the new version is very nice; I have found that the data shows that there is a lot of red in and around the darker nebulae in this region.

That looks stunning, a very nice Corona Australis there Marc :) I like the saturated version the most, it really brings out all the hues present in this magnificent piece of sky.

Thanks guys. I'll have to redo it with saturated clouds and less star colors later on.
