Well, 10fps optimized for 120s produced the best result as opposed to 5fps optimised and 5fps raw. Over the last 6 months, 10fps has consistant;y been better??

Also, the blue channel is having a huge cross hatching problem. This image (via Adam's excellent RGB split) and aviraw on the last image a coupla weeks ago.

Anyway, getting the hang of jupos and wouldn't mind keeping an eye on the two white ovals that are getting closer.

Hi Dave,

I like it a lot, but I prefer the butterscotch flavoured ones on your other thread, just because there is a bit more colour which brings out the detail more for my eyes.

Yes, i know what you mean. This one is more for the JUPOS stuff, so I try and bring out detail near the edges. Here is a more photogenic one.

I just been flicking back and forth from this last one to the other two side by side on your other thread, and they still show more detail to me and at the edges also.

Any way Dave I enjoy looking at all your images, you post em how you like and I will continue to drool.

you are probably right Lester, the rgb split has not gone as great as i thought, the blue channel split is not as good as doing registax first and then splittting in astra image

the other thing lester is that i find inverting it like asi and yourself present joop makes it harder as you eye gets used to a certain way of viewing

That's a really great image Dave, but the cross hatching is really evident - i've never seen it your images before.

What did you do differently?

Go Davo, the second one I find much more appealling and reckon I can see more detail on it as well. It's been an awful long time since I've got much decent from anything but 10fps, always run one or two avis at 5fps, but the seeing just hasn't warranted and in the end getting more frames to choose from produces a better image:)

mike: yeah i see it too now... diagonal cross hatching. Hmm... doesnt distract from the image for me tho. :)

Not sure ice, the main difference is that i am rbg splitting for the last couple.

The 5fps raws are better when split bust still lacking the detail of the 10fps when not split into rgb?

Really odd.. have you tried splitting with aviraw and seeing if you get the same?

Maybe you could upload the avi and I'll try the netpbm split and see if it comes out the same?

mike, aviraw caused the same issue a few weeks back on a rgb split. can you please send me the login and password for the ftp again.
