Hi all

NGC 6822 (Barnard's Galaxy and the Planetary Nebular NGC 6818.

5 x 400 seconds at ISO 800.

Auto processed and Digital Developement in ImagesPlus 2.75.

Addittional processing in Noiseware (Free) and Photoshop 7.01.

Right hand edge cropped, remainder full frame.

Prime focus Takahashi FS-102, no filters, unmodded Canon EOS 350D, SW ED80 guidescope with ST-4 autoguider.

Planetary NGC 6818 described in StarAtlas Pro as Mag 10, 30 sec in diameter, Blue, very small, round. Left hand edge just above the middle.

That is a very nice image John. Barnard's Galaxy is a very faint object and you have done well to grab it so distinctly.

Thanks for the comments.

Was a set of long exposures but was worth the effort, Getting NGC 6818 was a bonus, I was pleased with the mount performance and the pinpoint stars. Barnard's Galaxy was only faintly visible at the eyepiece when I composed the shot.
