Purchased from these forums a while back, used as a spotting scope. Now I have an 80mm, don't need this 70mm. I'm also moving to off-axis guiding.

I've taken it apart for cleaning (needs another) and in the process have scratched the clear-coat superficially. I can't measure depth because they are too thin, but it has not affected operations, just aesthetics (see the photos for detail). I'm told you can re-buff the polish and the scratches will come out, but I don't see the need personally.

It's a limited run (500 units were made, this is #288) 70mm Carbon Fibre Ferrari Anniversary edition William optics APO, with carry case, with 45 degree diagonal, SCT to 1.25" adapter, precision camera rotator, graduated focuser with 10:1 reduction. This one is a Flourite doublet, has excellent colour correction, F6.5.

Here's a review of the same on another site: http://www.cloudynights.com/item.php?item_id=1696 & here's the brochure: http://www.williamoptics.com/support/download/ferrari_anniversary.pdf & here's the manual: http://www.williamoptics.com/support/download/manual_ferrari_zenithstar_anniversa ry_ed.pdf

New price was over $1700, I bought it for $800 plus post, willing to sell for $700 plus post, negotiable.

One photo has an eyepiece, which is not included, the hard case in the WO brochure is also not included.

Thanks Silv,

Pff, I get that all the time (the nice piece comment that is ).

Sorry - the bright red case isn't, but the case in the photos definitely is included.

Simon,

Are there any mounting holes on the bottom of the L bracket foot? Concerned about how to mount this as a guidescope.

Yes, there mounting holes. I'll take a shot & post it tonight.

I've used rings to mount it, they will fit around easily, but there are mounting holes.

FYI, I recieved a PM from Tak66 on this but it's still up for negotiation.

So, the L bracket is removable to fit rings? I have a gorgeous set of Borg 70mm rings to use....

Mmmm....I don't think it's removable entirely. I've never tried that.

Anyway, took a while but here's the bare bottom!:eyepop:

I've been using this farpoint short metric plate to attach it to things.

Looks like a non-removable one like the early Megrez 90 had.
