Hi guys, I haven't done an image in a while. It has really been bothering me. I moved house and since then I have grappled with flexture in my system that I now have an OAG coming in the mail to sort out. Here is an image i have taken while testing different "fixes" for the flexture.
I have processed out some of the star shapes but am aware that the resolution in the nebulosity has suffered due to image shift.

The OAG will be a god send, I've just started with one (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/151108788/original) and it's excellent (image coming soon). I can take sub exposures with the AG12 longer than 5min now  and I did my first ever stack of 9 subs that showed no image shift between exposures - very cool :-)
Good luck with your OAG Pete

The star shapes look pretty good to me now Pete. Like I said before I really like this field of view you have and the composition. Looking forward to seeing how this image turns out.

Thanks Mike, I am a firm believer that for narrow band images at least long exposures are a must. Seeing Rolf's mammoth 120 hour image made me wonder personally if the image would have been any different with longer exposures. My logic dictates that because of diminishing returns on noise reduction that longer exposures would be cleaner.
Your new setup looks great, I went for a TS9mmOAG and got precise parts to make an adapter from the filter wheel to the camera so I could save some space that the optical window took up.
Thanks Paul, the star shapes are ok only because photoshop gave me the darken tool and a starmask!
