sob :(
... just a sniff of no-jetstream grey is all we poor southeast queenslanders need... just a wee sniff...I'd settle for dark blue even
hmmm, maybe it's a good time to practice up on some those new fangled processing programs like ppm centre and such :)

Or, we could get a night/weekend job to fund the Mewlon 300 on the NJP mount? Sigh...
Cheers

Welcome to Qld. Beautiful one day, blowin' the freckle of a black dog the next.
Send 'er down huey, might as well make the most of the cloud.

I already HAVE a night / weekend job, 40 hours a week worth ..... maybe what I need is a daytime job as well ...... those Meade 20" suckers look kinda interesting.
I had my scope out early tonight, checking out the Mars / Saturn / M44 grouping (which looked pretty good actually!).
Light scattered clouds blew across so I left the scope outside but near the back door while I came in for dinner, planning to go back out for further viewing later.
When I did go back out an hour later I found said scope quite wet from the steady but surprisingly quiet rain that had crept in.
I HATE stealth rain!!!
Viewing plans cancelled .... and now I'm on site back at my night / weekend job, scope in lounge room at home drying off.
