This is nothing terribly exciting but it does show that things are starting to come together with the new RC scope. I managed a first light fairly quickly but since then I've had all sorts of problems covering the mount, associated electronics and the collimation. Still some work to do but this image looked promising. I took it last night in windy conditions.
Cheers
Steve

Good start Steve, a 90% crop means that's one small FOV though, on nights of good seeing you will rock!
Any pictures of the new setup?

That's a very nice image Steve. I think this scope suits your 6303 better.
An AOL would be very handy at that focal length and when there are nights of good seeing it will really sing.

Thanks Ross
Thanks Greg. Actually the 6303 is the only camera working at the moment. The STXL11002 I bought absolutely refuses to talk to my system. I do have an AOL and plan to hook it up eventually but I've got to get everything else working first.
Thanks Mike. The FOV is still pretty good. I cropped the image about 50% and then reduced it a bit to give 90% full resolution. I just uploaded a picture of the scope. It's at:

Thanks Allan. It's actually second light.

Thanks Logan. The dreaded "autoguider error" still hasn't gone away though.
Thanks Justin. I think I'm getting closer.
Thanks Steven. I hope it lives up to it's promise.

Thanks Rolf. Hope you haven't been affected by the recent bad weather in NZ.
Thanks David. Hopefully there will be more images happening soon but the BOM Canberra forecast for the next 3 months isn't encouraging.

Thanks very much Leo
SHAZZAM! What a ripper, Steve! A glimpse of images to come with this fantastic set up. The details coming through are divine and I'm keen to see more. The scope is already flocked (secondary baffle) and primed ready for DSO photon action. If you weren't at your mount's limit before, I'd say you are now. ;) Thanks for sharing.
