Pulpit Rock

Here is a new location for me, Pulpit Rock lookout, just out of Blackheath.
First run of the new Tokina 11mm-16mm and I am very happy.
The colour cast that I have tried to correct for is due the fact that I took this at 6pm and it wasnt really 'proper' dark yet.

10 image pano, 30 seconds each, f2.8, ISO1600.

The tokina is a very nice lens, I am very very happy with it on the first outing.
Big shout out to Mike for the suggestion.

I can't believe how wide 11mm is, it is simply unbelievable.

Pulpit Rock is simply stunning, I will be going there a number of times more I am sure, as well as Anvil Rock, 5 mins up the road.

Hi Mike, yeah it is an amazing place.
Pulpit Rock is East of Blackheath, in the Blue Mountains, and there are 3 more places that I want to explore in this vicinity.

Yeah that Sydney glow is just inescapable for me unfortunately.
It is quite amazing really, from the carpark at Pulpit Rock the glow is actually the lights of Sydney, you have direct view down the valley all the way to Sydney.
It is only once you hike down to the lookout itself that the lights drop below the escarpment.

Is there anywhere that can escape the glow? What if you hike down into the valley?

Yeah getting lower into the valley will escape more glow, I will see what I can find location wise.
