Hi to all
I got some data for NGC 6992, the other bright bit of the Veil nebula, over the last few days. Must admit I didn't think it turned out as well as NGC 6960 and was more difficult to process but, for what they are worth, here are both images.
Cheers
Steve

I love it. For some reason the Veil always makes me think of old science fiction, like Star Trek or late 70 Battlestar Galactica. No idea why, but I always get a nostalgic feel everytime I see a veil shot. The colour in this is gorgeous.

Thanks very much Peter. It's always been one of my favourites too perhaps because one of the first astronomical pictures I ever saw in a kid's encyclopedia was the picture of the Veil taken with the 60" telescope at Mt Wilson. It's also very colour rich so looks very good in science fiction movies.
Thanks Larry. Might be a bit over saturated but hey I like colorful images.
