Just by the side of the road I saw this beautiful old gum tree. Most will drive past it at 100kph unaware of its beauty let alone notice it. But its silhouette just underneath the Grand Milky Way was what caught my eye. I placed my tripod in the middle of a not too busy country road and took this shot.

Good work Carlos, is that the same tree as the other shot? Looks slightly different.
I like this composition better with the way the tree leads into the milky way.

WOW! outstanding image,this one really stands out!
What are the details on the image Carlos?-was it a composite image.did you use any tracking,or just camera on tripod,what camera and lens/specs.This has got me wanting to get out and attempt something like this.

This one is straight out of the box using a Canon 5D MK3 at 6400ISO 30sec exposure and 16mm f/2.8 with a cheap tripod (soon to be replaced with a ball mount).
