Seeing was a total washout & I sat there for quite awhile swearing & cursing as usual, then someone threw the magic switch & it went from total crap to a topping out, 6-7/10. It was still a mixed bag (fluctuating madly) but I just captured one AVI after another in the hope that I got at least one set with some decent stuff. Only one AVI worth looking at #12.

There's got to be moons in this image but I'll drag 'em out at a later date.

Very nice image. I was out there tonight looking at it as well with my 12" Dob, but I can't seem to get that sort of colour but then again I'm not taking photos. There was a fair show of the moons tonight.

Thanks Glen. Yes the colour of this planet is very subtle in the eyepiece. It's pretty much the way it is in the camera too but but I'm guilty of upping the saturation a tad.

Hmmm here's another. One of those moons is a star! :)

Quite a bit of globe detail showing there John. Its amazing how seeing can suddenly change and why OSC cams are so useful for capturing that moment.

Thanks Stuart. I think you're aware I also have the mono cam plus filters & I hate them sitting in the cupboard going to waste, but I've been there done that; totally frustrating in my situation - Fine if I only want a result once every month or so lol.

Yep I could have done RGB this past week as the conditions have been so settled but in the UK that happens no more than twice a year and last year it only happened once lol

Magic work John, them rings have better detail in the 2nd
The sharpness you get is what staggers this duck, maybe I dont swear and carry on enough ;)
