There are lots and lots of interesting buildings and homes on the Gold Coast Bob! :) It all comes down to how adventurous and imaginative your angles are.

Interiors are great too!

A few examples off the web:

Here's a few of my John Wests... it's not easy to find astounding architecture in Oberon:lol:.

These are from my recent trip OS to Germany and Turkey for work. Not exactly the arty type of shots that Chris had in mind, but... never mind. Check out the size of the caravan in shot 1. It should give some sense of scale for the laminated timber "building" at Deutche Messe.

:)

Al.

PS. I've done a bit of work in Google Maps and Google Earth on this building just for interests sake. There are 12 of these "artificial trees" made from laminated timber that make up the building, and each one spans 40m! By scaling that means each is nearly 40m high as well. I've attached a view of the 3D building from Google Earth as well.

Thats a very good find in Oberon Al, wow, nice peice of work !

Ok, didnt have much time in Brizzy but snapped one of the PA Hospital, not overly interesting ?
Then, not knowing brizzies hot spots, we went into Surfers Parasites ;) to the great Q1 Building, which I pretty much have another (betterra angle) for this months entry, not this one, which is of the water feature in the evening shadow, needed there in morning ?

Don't like changing my entries, but I have decided to relegate my original entry to the "John West's".

Good luck with your entry (and lighting) Bob. Pretty tricky theme this month, makes you have to work the old grey matter to put a good spin on the subject.

Its got a triangle too!

I don't know how old it is, it looks pretty old, but the juxtaposition of the simple shapes struck me as very modern.

Not sure what the rules are surrounding the monthly competitions so I thought I'd post this here.
This is a picture of the inside of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore reversed in PS (as the original is frankly a bit boring).

Mario,
I was watching the tv prog "Big,Bigger,Biggest" about domes last week. They said the Pantheon is still the world's largest concrete dome.

Chris,

I didn't realise that it was the biggest concrete dome. It certainly is an impressive piece of architecture and I love the way it's tucked away in a small piaza in Rome. I also loved the people dressed up as centurions out the front, despite the fact they charged 10 euros to have a picture taken with them!

Cheers,
Mario
