Hi,

On our eclipse trip to the Northern Territory we took side trips to Gosse Bluff and Henbury Meteorite craters.

Must have been a doozie of a rock to cause Gosse's Bluff! On Google Earth, you can still see the crater rim remanats - extend out apparently 22 KM or so! (the remaining uplift centre is only 5km across)

No rock,more like a comet or ice ball,the uplift was caused by a compression rebound.
No meteorites have been found from the crater.
