I've stacked and processed the sequence of images I made of Crux culminating over the glow of the Big Island of Hawaii, as viewed from Maui. Made up of 20x30 second exposures using bothe DeepSkyStacker and Registax.
The Pointers are known as Nä Kuhikuhi and the Southern Cross is known as Hanai-a-ka-malama ("cared for by the Moon" or "Moon's foster child").
There is another thread here:http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=107903 with a video.
Thanks for looking,
Tom
