My seeing varied from very good for a very short period to where I couldn't resolve the EQ belts, so at best=3/10.

Started making a cat cooler, think the problem was tube currents.

Terrific photo from the 9.25 with lots to see inside the GRS! I'm surprised at the large image scale. What barlow are you using? I've been imaging at f25 but have been thinking of stepping it up a bit (if I can keep the planet on the chip for 100secs - the altaz tracking drifts a bit)

The 14" image seems to have a bit more noise but still has lots of detail. Well done, both of you.

Nice asi - huge image scale though little grainy. Nice colours.

Lester yours is nice too, though a little *too* saturated on this occassion (for my preference). Still quite dark too.

I'd love to have a go at your avi's sometime if you can upload them? Are you on dialup?

Hi Graeme, thanks mate. I usually just use a 2X barlow & a 75mm extension tube, but as the seeing was a bit better than my usual 3/10 I decided on throwing another 80mm extension tube into the mix. After a screen preview I was kicking myself for not owning a 4X..I then slid the 900nc out as far as it would go & still be locked with the retaining screw(s) & did the same with the 2 extension tubes. No idea how to work that one out & convert it to F but Jupiter is at least 60% bigger on screen than usual.

Mike, yes a bit grainy but I should be able to make it better; I did a real quick run in Astraimage just after midnight this morning & it came up a lot better.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Mine had the gain at 75% to kill onions, that would be why image has a bit of grain in it.

Mine was a quick process and tried to reduce colour and brighten but obviously Not enough. I will try again when time permits.

Lester, normally if the seeing is better, you can usually take a bit of the gain off. Last night I did a few tests to see how 'low I could go'..Shot one at 30% gain zero gamma & still no onions...Need to shoot a couple off @ different settings & do a quick stack to see what you can get away with on each given night I reckon.
