Well done Dave, cloud has once again defeated me. Sitting at home with 8/8 cloud and wondering why the weather gods hate me so. This would have been a cracker from Kings Beach.

The green is nice, perhaps ramp up the saturation just a little more. It will really pop then.

Well done. :)

I nabbed a single shot of it (from a bad angle) from Auckland tonight with Rolf Wahl Olsen. Looks like I timed my arrival in NZ perfectly!

I didn't know it was possible to see them this far north. :O

Nice one!

I think I bumped into you in the car park when you were leaving.
I missed the vivid green you have here, but I got some nice reds.

Great to see this visible from Melbourne.

Did try this, there was not really enough data. When I cracked it up it looked scratchy, then I found myself chasing it with the blacks and contrast. Maybe I should have upped the ISO to 3200 (From 1600). I put it down to it was only a Kp of 6?

Cheers.

I made a time-lapse, it is linked here.

I like the point that a red chuck appears to 'blow off' in the middle.

Did it clear up again?
You will have to put up your shot from the Golf Coarse.

Hi Dave,

I did tell you to up the iso to 3200 :P

Dave was the man last night, usually when he chases Aurorae with us he brings the clouds with him. Last night we both had a good session and snapped some really nice images.

Regards Paul.

Great shot Dave. Glad the clouds stayed away long enough for you to grab some images.

It didn't clear up. I stayed there for about 20 minutes, and there was no sign of change so I gave up.

Here's a link to one of my photos:

In fact this was the first one I've seen in almost a year and a half of trying!

I didn't realise that Paul was with you. I've seen and envied his aurora pics many a time. :)

Carl

Hey Carl

Usually when Dave comes with us he brings the clouds. This time I took the risk and it paid off.
