Had some clear weather and had a decent alignment (only set my scope up a few times so to have a good alignment straight off was exhilirating - went straight to looking and ignored a drift align.. to me its noticeable..)

Looked around at Saturn and a few other places not really expecting much. Didnt think the 130slt had the guts to see nebulae... anyway thought I'd go over Orion... result is as follows.

Orion Nebula 30ish photos stacked. 30s iso 3200.

Stacked in DSS 3.3.2 Cant remember other options, Some post done in Photoshop to bring the colours out.

Will edit my sig to contain gear details at some point but here is what I used

Canon 550d (I own a 50d as well but the 550 is lighter =D )
Skywatcher HEQ5 Goto.
Celestron 130SLT - 9mm, 25mm & Orion Shorty 2x Barlow. (Loving the 9mm & 2x barlow on a APS-C camera, the 9mm fits just inside the T-ring->EOS adapter and clears the mirror!)

Not exactly the best scope. but I'm happy enough with it to stay with it for a while. When I can set up and be drift aligned in less than half an hour. and can be patient enough to stay on one star/region for longer than 15 minutes. Maybe I'll purchase another scope.... We'll see if the boss allows it =P
