Weather permitting, I might get out tonight and just do some visual stuff - so much less complicated and relaxing! No post session processing too!
Cheers

I know what you mean Dennis, i've still got avi's from the 12th to finish processing so I can make an animation.
And I've just set up the scope to cool down, so if the seeing is any good (unlikely) i'll have more to process tomorrow!

yep you betcha. Just made a cat cooler from bits and pieces and will try out. I am use to 0-2/10 anyway. The cat cooler should boost it to a 6/10.
Okay so I am the Super optimist.

It's actually alright out here tonight.. I have to hold my breath while focusing though, cause otherwise the fog from my mouth obscures my view of the screen!
Seeing isn't bad either, not quite as good as the other night, but not bad.
Platform behaving well (thanks Brian!) and GRS is just about to round the corner.
Yep. I'm all set up.
The 9.25's been outside since 5pm.
The ToUcam's been modded and is already plugged in.
We're at 1.5 degrees and falling. Humidity 95%, so I've got the Kendrick dew heater fired up.
Gonna be a cold one here again. We had minus 7 overnight last night:scared:
The scope has a bit of trouble keeping pace with the temp differential.
Anyway, like Mike says ... here comes Big and Little Red!:)

nahhhhh seeing ok, but wind was a pain. i have enough trouble keeping things on the screen without the winds help. Scope is back in the garage!

What cloud Dennis? Been lovely and clear up here. Shame about the seeing though :mad2:
Is that what that was. Looked more like an utter thrashing by the score.

Can someone explain that graphic to me in #1 please? and where does it come from?
Thanx
theres a link inthe resources section of this site to weather. that is the jetstream, i believ (and i am probably wrong) that is i high altitude wind, which can affect seeing.

Hey Mr Bob.
As Ving said, check out the Resources (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/?resources) section of the site to go to the Weather Resources page.
As Ving also said, it's showing the jetstream, which is high altitude winds which can affect seeing (in a negative way). Ideally you want no jetstream.
