Well, I think I've established from a couple of days of experimentation that a 9 pane mosaic gives me great balanced illumination across the board but only at their given correct placements..Every PST is going to be slightly different.

Very happy with this one for the even illumination factor alone:thumbsup:

Orange destroys the final data, as I have recorded in my last thread, so it's back to the golden yellow for me (even though this one has a hint of orange in it) as for some weird reason I'll never understand, keeps the detail crisp...I knew there was a reason I didn't want to go orange from the get-go;)

I started recording the proms but a cloud bank came in destroying any thoughts of that. A pity because there were some nice proms happening (see panel one).

PST/DMK21/9 pane mosaic.

Yeah John bloody clouds. Nice proms, they would be nice when can marry them to the disc.
Would you be able to bring the DMK51 to focus on your rig John.:confused2:

If you have firewire I could lend you my grasshopper for a while, I get a full disc on the chip and it is usually sensitive enough to get proms and surface detail in one pass.

I am waiting for another DMK51 for the school, when it arrives I will do just that.
In the next few days I will do some prom work with the ASI120 and then get it off to you for a crack. Should be close to the51 at 1290x960 res.
Think Derek wants a go as well.
Maybe we should start or somehow purchase some gear through the forum to loan out for trials?
Ill put in!!

I'm happy to loan out the grasshopper and a firewire card to anyone that wants to try it.

Nice going John  I always thought lemon juice was stronger than orange juice ;) I do like the colour rendition as it has more contrast from my view, dig them Proms mate, beauties !

Thanks guys.

Sorry Peter, just reading about loaning the camera out now...Think I'll pass as I have enough camera testing going on right now. Very kind gesture though:thumbsup:
