Brisbane clouds were persistent but not as persistent as me :)

Very lucky with the break in the clouds. Well done.

Correct Andrew - more luck than pluck :) The clouds seemed to conspire to hide one or more of the planets at any one time. I used the video on the EOS 600D and then stacked frames in StarTrails, for the first image. THe second image is a single frame, with Mercury about to disappear behind a tree just as Venus poked out of the cloud.
