OK, thought I'd take a holiday and give the Jetstream a chance to move off - FAT CHANCE... it still screaming over Brisbane for God only knows how many weeks/months now.
Seeing an appalling 1-3/10. Had to give it a go anyway as it's been a long time since I had the scope out and clouds predicted for next few days. Hardly worth the details... this is beginning to try my usual gerbil faced optimism:sadeyes: Maybe I'll get a 350D and join the "in" crowd:D
oh well, least I got to see the GRS and red jnr (just about on top of each other now).
cheers,

yeah see what you mean. maybe if we drive down a bush track and look at it, it may make it corrected(bush adaptive optics). Damn fine example of a masters best given the conditions!

Hrmph. I know what you mean Rob. :mad2: And I didn't know the jet stream got down to ground level for so long either :mad2:
Damn fine shot for the conditions.

'Bout what I got last night too Robert, so I played around instead, using my PDA running TheSky Pocket Edition to control the mount via Bluetooth - had a ball but didn't manage to image anything worthwhile.
Nice Joops by the way – 25 out of 10 for trying.
Cheers

Well done Rob.
Nice job considering the conditions.
Looks very much like mine of 2 weeks ago when I put seeing around the same 3/10 or worse.
Compare 'em.

They'd look even more alike if I didn't get greedy and go for too much of a resize:lol:

despite the rubbish conditions I also did give the 4X a go. Found one avi that at least produced some recognisable features. GRS and Red Jnr must be very close to merging
cheers,
Dennis

Gee, Robert, that is quite an extraordinary result for the x4 Powermate on a night of such poor seeing.
Cheers
