Barely a day will go by when I don't listen to The Doors. Today I think it will just be The Doors. :)

I watched that show about a couple of weeks ago and recorded it as well, a brilliant show with some great insights to the band. The extras are new to me though.

Ray's playing gave the band a signature sound and he was bloody good at it too, truly a talent that will not go forgotten.

Even though they were a band before my time they played a huge role in m youth and even today, I know he was sick but it's still a sad day.

And to think that 'LA Woman' was the last studio album, my children listen to the Doors.

Thanks for the posts.

I have most of The Doors albums. What I find remarkable about their legacy is
that they are at once a sound of their times and yet still sound absolutely fresh today.

My own theory on that is the heavy blues elements that permeates much of their
music is timeless and its irreverence simply "out cools" a lot of contemporary music
today.
