The Arch in Devil's Coach House, a vast open-ended chamber in the Jenolan caves.

The weather was mostly clear and despite the cold temperatures minimum 1 deg cel, I didn't have any issues with dew on the lenses. I had some disposable warm packs just in case to sticky tape around the lens in the event that it did dew up. I've read this works although I haven't tested it yet.

This was pretty much the shot I'd been wanting to take all night, the Milky Way was positioned just where I wanted it, pure dumb luck on my behalf.

Thanks for looking :)

Very nice indeed Carlos. Great shot. I can personally attest to the effectiveness of those disposable heat packs. Never really been an issue for me at home but boy, they have been a lifesaver down here in Tas. If I was doing an all night timelapse shoot I would hook up my dew heater strap but if you are moving about taken single night sky shots, that is impractical, and those pads work brilliantly.

Nice one, Carlos!

Have you got links to purchase the heat pads online?

They're branded "HEAT Factory" Disposable Warm Pack 10hrs.

I had a quick look online and they seem to be more expensive than in the store and that's not including shipping! check it out and let me know.

Thanks Ric :)

Thats an Unreal Compo Carlos, & very well captured indeed
The foreground is in focus, as with the stars, so I must inquire wether you used a very small appeture/F/stop or two exposures  just for curiosity as this is unique in its representation for this duck ;)
Skillfull stuff either way

Great shot, very lovely.

regarding the heat packs, I found a box of 80 on ebay that I got delivered for $40, so all up $0.50 each. They arent the 10 hour ones, but 8 hours and definitely do easily last the 8 hours.

I will find the details if anyone is interested.

Thanks Andrew!

That sounds like a bargain, certainly don't need 10hrs, 8hrs is enough in my opinion. That would be great if you could provide some links

Cheers Michael! For sure, I took this one around 4am a few week ago! Just drive slow and make sure you don't hit any wildlife, plenty of wombats, wallabies and kangaroos at that time.
