Cat's Paw in HA

Hi,

Another beautiful, clear last night in Sydney. I managed to collect 20x10min data before getting so tired. HA of the Cat's Paw nebula. The ambient temp was about 12deg, so I pushed my old ST10 to -20deg reaching 95% of its capacity. I don't know if that would make any difference.

You're probably contributing to all the clouds out here with the fine images you're taking :-). Give us some photons as well!!
My poor scope is covered in Plastic sheets in the backyard under an Umbrella!!

Do you have a hi-res image? Do you plan on adding colour to the Ha data at all?

Thank you Alistairsam. I dont even know what is hi-res image? or how to add colour to the Ha data. Once I am more confident with Ha and processing, will definitely explore others.

Hi David,

I meant a higher resolution image of the Cats paw. You could host it on astrobin, pbase or other similar hosting sites.
with Ha and RGB, I think Rob Gendler's tutorial is good.

But there are various techniques, mainly to avoid Ha overpowering the other channels.
you might want to look at PI tutorials for HaRGB or HaLRGB with a synthetic luminence channel from RGB.

Thanks Astronobob, I can see other experienced members here used much longer exposure for better signal/noise ratio. I have serious issue with blooming with my non-antiblooming St10xme. Have to somehow learn how to overcome this.
