Playing with a new toy..as you do...and in this case a 50mm I/R pass filter.... I wondered what a globular cluster would look like if you looked deeper into the infra-red.
Ponder no more!
Some stars are remarkably red... many however look the same. I guess I'll have to try a few more objects ;)

Sharp as. There's a side-on galaxy at 3 o'clock that seems to have a strong signal in IR. Rho would be a good candidate see how many background stars you can dig out of those dark lanes.

Nice Peter! Another side-on galaxy about 7 o'clock is quite bright, too

Thanks Laurie... yes, I was surprised by how much stuff emits signal in the I/R
NIR +700nm and beyond.... that said, I could be tempted to look at a +800nm filter as well.

That's an incredible wide field with such tight stars.

Looks good Peter. Try some of the more obscured globulars. They generally show up well in IR.
