Very good Al :) Being a keen street photographer, I'm always drawn to other's street shots. I particularly like 2,6,7,10 & 14. Good work.

Thanks Chris. Your success with the OM-D particularly for street did influence me to get one;). I haven't really done any street since I went digital and I missed the capabilities of the OM-1. The OM-D is "the little camera that could":P.

A great unit, all around. I'm currently shooting both the OM-D and RX1 constantly. The new OM-D (E-M6?) is coming out in September and will have phase-detect AF, and will probably still be one of the fastest AF performers on the planet. I'm looking at supplementing them with a new Olympus E-PL5 which is a corker. All the fruit of the OM-D and much, much more. Investing in M. Zuiko glass has become a wise decision.

Thanks Leon.

The simple uncluttered shots often have most impact. You just can't always get it.

Excellent snap shots Al, I really like your style. No's 2 and 7 from the first batch really appeal to me, the old lady who has seen and experienced so much caught in deep thought B&W with colour a complimentary effect, excellent. And waiting for the train, the girl is so pretty, and again her thoughts as she watches you take the shot is captivating.

The're all very good Al. Excellent work thanks for sharing these

Great shots, Al! Some of them are just waiting for James Bond to ride down in a motorbike with people chasing him :)

Nice shots. Not very crowded. Did you do these early in the day?

Thanks guys.

These were mostly morning shots, but not terribly early - we didn't start walking till about 10am. The Grand Bazaar was closed (because it was Sunday?) so nothing from there. We did walk through smaller bazaars and markets which were quite crowded, but its difficult to get good shots when its very crowded;). Most opportunities occurred in the gaps in the ebb and flow of people.:)

I'm not one for crowds but I didn't find the crowds in Istanbul to be a problem. They don't rush so they don't need to stop abruptly to think of what they are doing, they respect personal space... it all just seemed to flow.
