My wife Nicole and I observed the eclipse together with Jay Anderson and Terry Cuttle on a hill near the great northern Highway around 70km south of Newman. This was (in our opinion) the best accessible hill from the road. We arrived when dawn started and saw the clouds at the horizon. Jay explained that these are thunderstorms far away and that he could see lightning from time to time. I decided not to escape more to the southbut to stay and see the rising annular eclipsed sun from the clouds.
Dawn was strange because the eclipse started under the horizon and the light from the more upcoming sun was compensated by the more and more sunblocking moon. So the morning somehow refused to start. We missed the sunrise but saw the beautifull ring when the sun came up. What a great eclipse !
Clouds created some wrong contacts at the annularity time.

Back home I watched my full HD-Video without a filter on a big screen. What a surprise, I could see the black moon rising from the band of clouds.
The pictures are just screen-copies from the video, no photos(c)hopping or other enhancements.
