Cool! They should take it down and chuck it in a museum somewhere.

It's a long way to Tattooine Mike ;)

Seriously though, a nightscape with Luke's home in the foreground would look pretty cool.

NERD ALERT!!!

Luke was born on an asteroid - Polis Massa not on Tattooine.

How cool is that! Pretty much the perfect nightscape location :D

From a geeky point of view, it's pretty cool. And as Rolf suggest above, would make a cool shot for nightscape!

From an environmental point of view, I'm a bit disappointed it's still there. I know our thinking was a bit different 35 years ago, but you'd expect there'd be some sort of contract or obligation to remove the sets once filming finished. You know?

Yeah, yeah. It's just desert. But still...

Me too now - that's weird.
Wonder if it was a hoax so they removed it.

Hmm ok, I thought it was shot in Tunisia only because Ewan McGregor makes mention of it in his documentary "Long Way Down" with Charley Boorman as they motorcycled from Scotland down to Sth Africa and they make a stop over on the way down, here's an exerpt if you fast forward to about 6 minutes into the video:

Edit: oops I read just Algeria but article says Tunisian border...

I wonder what some archeologist will think about 500 years in the future.
