Here's the framing of the Lagoon and Trifid I should have shot at IISAC :screwy: This shot is from Thursday 9/5 .
Taken with Canon 60Da / Hyperstar lens on C11. CLS filter used.
Total of 42 minutes by 65 Subs. 10,20,30,60 and 90 seconds all @ iso 800 , unguided. Hope to have guide equipment soon.
Stacked and processed in Pixinsight , no flats or darks. I love the DBE and ACDNR tools in PI , they are very handy.
All suggestions welcome :)
Cheers

That's a great image Rod.
I would have processed it slightly differently with the dark areas not quite so dark but that is personal taste.
cheers

Very nice image! Great framing and colours :)
Have you tried the LHE tool in PI? I find it really good to make the dark dusty part stand out a bit more, and brighten up the nebula.

Thanks Russell
Thanks Ross, the Hyperstar is great, Although its fast , I've learnt to to spend more time per target rather than slewing all over the sky in one night.
Cheers Allan , I see what you mean, I've still got Pixinsight L plates so its been a little hit and miss :)
Thanks Erik
I haven't tried that tool, this is only my second image processed using PI. I've just been closely following Harry's tutorials (which are very helpful).
I think PI is great and would recommend it to anyone.
I'll try the LHE tool tonight, thanks for the tip :thanx:
