Perfectly clear view of the rising sun in full annular eclipse. I was intentionally located at one of the extremities of the path.

Awesome images Geoff! Best I've seen from this eclipse I think! The refraction effect in the second one is amazing.

Love the half disc looks like a small blue or green flash as well.Great effects

That's actually the *full* disc! The lower portion of the Sun has been refracted up, essentially making a very squashed image. If you look carefully around the edges, you can see that it does not continue down behind the horizon.
