How do people attach pictures so that they appear on the separate page but on the single page?
Whenever my attachments go through they are size limited and come up as a popup not a separate page with the thumbnails down the size.

I think you upload to the "Images" section.
but
another way is to put them on a web page somewhere else and then a link to that page is put in this board's posting. The link could be to the persons own web site if they have one set up or they could be to one of the picture site such as Flickr.

Use the 'manage attachments' button when posting a new thread.
In a reply, use 'Go Advanced' or 'preview' in order to see the 'manage attachments' button.

Nik, adding to Mike's reply, at the bottom of the upload window there is a list of allowed file types and maximum file sizes. 1200x800 is about as big as you can reliably make JPGs, and even then you might have to reduce the quality. RIOT (http://luci.criosweb.ro/riot/), for example, will work out the best quality you can use to stay within the size limit. It the resulting image quality is too poor, reduce the size and try again.

I get that and my attachments come up but as popups not as a separate page with thumbnails down the side.
Have a look at my 300mm f4 ad for starters the thumbnails are down the post and then appear as a popup rather than on a separate page.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?
What am I doing wrong?
Why can't i get it to look like this?
Even on this post here the pic I am displaying will appear as a popup rather than how it appears IN the pic

You need to use the manage attachments button, then upload.
See attached.
