Hi.

Lousy weather = the reprocessing of old AVI's :D

Took the best 4 AVI's & restacked, re-this & re-that.

The first four on the left; straight out of registax, heavy waveletts. The four on the right; same images after ME deconvolution & a 2.0 unsharpmask in Astraimage.

Never bothered to alter their colours; 'As the camera captured them' according to my gain/gamma settings at the time.

Oh thankyou Asi,

I can feel the withdrawal symptoms going now.

Its fantastic to see Jupiter with a bit of colour and not this Hong Kong flu, anemic looking thing that has infiltrated our air waves.:D

Like the detail.

WOW you bought out heaps of detail in the image, well done, holly wow @ Red jr too, getting close now.

Great stuff John. So rich in colour and detail.

That 900's already giving very clear signs of what it's capable of.

I really like the ones on the right. Particularly the 2 along the bottom and the one at upper right.

Nice rich colours in the bands and nice "cool" tones in between.

Good work mate:thumbsup:

Glad you like 'em guys.

Normally I'll sit & play for hours getting the colours to how I think should be presented. Have not bothered in this case, but will soon when I get bored enough.

like the bottom left straight up, but top ones really show the GRS beautifully.

what you bored......naaarrggh never :D

Thanks Asi!

Another one

This time a split & VC deconvolution: 7 Iterations & 0.6 curve radius (gaussian) Also edited the FFT on all 3 channels slightly.

Interestingly enough, it seems to have brightened the blue channel, so I just left it rather than try to unsaturate the blue in the image.

bird has produced 1 great VC image and this is the other!

I really like it. I simply can not get anything out of VC!

Thanks Dave.

I'll try a few more & see how they come up with VC I think. BTW it could be the fact I altered the FFT that it came out ok..

did you play with FFT in astra image?

asimov
10-06-2006, 11:01 PM
Yup. While the image is split. You'll have to play with it a bit to comprehend what it does..

Wowy Asi,

Well done. I think we will start the bidding for my C8 at $2k.

By the way mate I got a few empty ginger beer bottles in the shed, just hook your 900nc up with barlow and extention tube and see what you get.

here is a butterworth high pass on a medium wavelets (max of 45.5 on slider 6) from registax.

no change to the settings, no other processing

promising tool?

Eh?...What C8?? :P

lester, do not encourage him!!!

I could not handle the shame of him smashing my imaging abilities to pieces with a empty bottle!

Yes Davo, looks promising, I've tried that before but I don't think I spent enough time experimenting with it.

Heres the FFT editing tool. Just put a black dot or line anywhere on the image....put it on different areas to get a different effect.

EDIT: OK...I won't upload the image then, bogpond or IIS server is chucking a wobbly...maybe later :screwy:

Nah...remember the old pick-axe brand long necks??....they have a slightly concave bottom, just like a corrector in a SCT! ;)

QUICK! While bigpond is NOT having a timeout!.....

Another VC decon. at same settings on all 3 channels + FFT edit on blue channel only.

Morning Great one,

Just tried to down load a demo of Astrostack to try but Zipped file is corrupt. Have you or any here had anything to do with astrostack.

asimov
11-06-2006, 09:27 AM
Astrostack? Yup, my very first stacking program. Tried it 1/2 dozen times 3 years ago. Registax is heaps better IMHO !
