Would be nice to live in Tasmania or the Antarctic at the moment :) I can't imagine seeing the sky light up like that.. the photos look simply awesome!

Here in North America the aurora was seen as far south as Arizona.

For three nights we had a sky full of auroa, with much activity directly above. Here at 53N this is not unusual. I tried observing with the telescope in any case on two of those nights (which were clear) but could not look at much besides a few doubles because the sky was so bright.

After more then two weeks of socked in clouds our first clear nights were ruined by the northern lights.:rolleyes: (not that they are not pretty in of themselves)
