Southern Milky Way Rising over the Dam
A 4-frame panorama of the Southern Milkyway rising over the dam at IISAC2013. Each frame was a 30s exposure, f/2.8, ISO6400 with the Canon 6D and Samyang 14mm lens.
The bulge of the Milky Way is just starting to rise over the mountain. When viewing this part of the sky, we're looking towards the centre of our galaxy.
Had to attach just a 600px version to get it under 200kb. The 1200px version is here:
