Last night I drove to Kiama in the hope that the high tide would be choppy enough to blow through the blowhole, I was not disapointed, I've seen bigger sprays and sometimes none at all. Imaging this guy was a bit of trail and error. Kept a raincoat handy to cover the camera from a drenching spray.
Thanks for looking :)

Oooh Carlos. Very good. It could have been a classic though. So close. I reckon get yourself a Polarie. 90 seconds or a few minutes at lower ISO, stopped down a tad (depending on the lens) and lower the white poitn temperature. I am finding night sky white balance best around 4200 to 4700K (it seems to vary or vary between camera models).
Did you take this shot in RAW?
I reckon it could be enhanced to be even better. The top stars are a bit elongated and I know without tracking its hard to avoid but there are tricks. They are a tad distracting. The Milky Way could be enhanced quite a bit.
What a fantastic idea for framing - and you got the shadows of 2 peoples - ooh clever. A Malin entry?
The PM me if you're interested.
Greg.

Thanks Bob! Glad you like it. Sunday night I was torn between two sights one required a 1 1/2 bushwalk the other a 1 1/2 drive. I chose to drive instead and sus out the walk during the day another time.
This weekend will be quiet, it was my 8th anniversary on Tuesday and the other half has booked me up all weekend. I'll be itching to go out but I need to give a little so can take some more :)
Thanks Stephen!

Fantastic Carlos, the Milky Way and water spout set each other off nicely - both impressive but on two completely different scales.

Thanks Mike I'm glad you liked it :) at the time I was hoping for a really big jet as I've seen it before, but I'm not sure if the camera would've survived the deludge. Kept a rain coat handy just in case.
