It's been overcast here for days.
Apologies, but I couldn't help myself. I had to post something.
I've not had the chance to use the new ToUcam on the 9.25 since the cam arrived. All I've got to show for my new "toy" are som avi's from about a week ago when I dragged the 8" f5 newt out into the backyard just for a bit of fun.
So here it is. Seeing around 3/10. The ToUcam stacked in a 2.5x Powermate ... in a 2x Celestron Ultima barlow for (f25 or thereabouts).
The seeing probably doesn't hold up to this degree of image scale, but what the heck:D

Hey I like it with the colour variations. Hope it clears up for you Matt.

I reckon this puts you right up there, simply waiting on the good seeing.
well done matt!
Thanks guys.
That's very kind of you Dave.
I must say the ToUcam has made an enormous difference already.
I know there are those who will argue otherwise but I'm seeing very big differences between it and the NexImage already.
Don't get me wrong. The NexImage is a fine "out of the box" planetary webcam, but the ToUcam seems to deliver sharper, less grainy and more natural results.
Of course, this is entirely a subjective opinion but it's one based on having used both cams and the results they produced.
It's already my firm belief the ToUcam is the superior webcam of the 2... particularly in average seeing conditions, or worse. Which is 95% of the time at my place.
Unless you are blessed with frequently good to very good seeing, the ToUcam would be the webcam of choice.
I'm going to install the 900nc upgrade and Optimised Colour mod in the next few days:thumbsup:

Very nice mate.
The colours are great! :)
Thanks Asi.
How's the weather been at your place?
I'm guessing from the shortage of pics the last cuppla days... about as useless as here?
Can't wait to see me or your stuff with the 900:thumbsup:

Useless weather for astronomy here. If by some miracle it is clear, it's either sub-zero seeing or 100% dew
Enough to make a guy go nuts if you let it. I gave up ranting & raving about it, whatever will be will be!
I reckon the "Whatever Association" has two Presidents.
You and I:rofl:
