Excellent shoots, David!
It' s is particularly noticable the gradual evolution of sunspots and granulation. This time, the seeing was better than the previous images, I think,, and you worked very well.

Hey David
Excellent series – now that you are the WL king I can hang up my Baader solar filter and retire from my penance of hours spent sweltering under the hot sun fighting with the seeing!:):P;)
Cheers

thanks john
yeah i pushed my luch with that, out of 5000 frames i picked the best 100 to stack in autostakkert. I took a series of 30 grabs at it, and they were the only 3 that were ok to process. Lots of gigabytes to sift through, about 77Gb i think
:thanx:

I'm out there setup again David, but this time with the C11 with an offset aperture mask, allowing about 4" of light in, plus the thousand oaks full aperture filter...Not the best arrangement for WL imaging but it's an experiment. I've tried this before & have never seen granulation yet. Here's hoping the seeing allows it to happen today.
I'd give a few eye teeth for that Baader wedge you have, bolted onto my ED80 or the 70mm Achro ;)
