In another thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=106360) there was a discussion about globulars with a lot of colour variation. Last night I got an image of M69 (12 x 3 mins at ISO 1600) in which the number of red stars is just staggering. Some of these may be foreground stars but some are clearly not. This glob is very metal-rich compared to most - not sure if that's relevant.
