A Rainbow Lorikeet

Saw a Rainbow Lorikeet at the front of my house so I quickly grabbed the DSLR! Here is the result after some work in CS6!

Stefan, they are so colourful.

Rainbows are waking us up every morning as they feast on the camelia outside the bedroom window. Even louder than the noisy miners that spend most of the day in that tree. They are so skittish I can't even photograph them from inside the kitchen, let alone going outside. The best I've managed was from about 15m with a hand held 500mm lens and ISO4000, and even then they are wary.
