The VASTROC program has firmed up and is now available online. The abstracts have now been included to give you an idea of what each presentation will be about. It's looking good now with something for everyone.
:welcome:
Details and registration forms are available at: http://asv.org.au/vastroc.php

I'll be giving a presentation on my Yukon Aurora trip on the Saturday 18th May at VASTROC and Russell Cockman is presenting just before me on "SkyArt - Vistas of the Night Sky".

Then there's the Keynote Talk – The Physics of Mars and the Curiosity Rover
Professor David Jamieson, University of Melbourne.

Should be interesting..

Good to see.

NACAA seems to have lost any relevance to most amateurs.

But I'm not sure what would happen if someone tried to hold one in Sydney. Already there are a half dozen societies competing for visiting academic speakers, plus the Macquarie uni public nights, so in some respects I'd have to ask what is the purpose of a conference that hasn't already been amply achieved already in Sydney at least ?

Just don't let ASNSW host it, as they'll insist on holding it at Wirua with the Ilford road house as the accommodation...

The VASTROC 2013 event is over, big HOORAY!
I would like to thank all the speakers who put in the time, effort and commitment into their presentations. Feedback has shown these were very well received and there was enough diversity in the schedule.

We have already received some feedback on what we can do better next time for NACAA 2014. Which will also be held at Rydges, 215 Bell St Preston, over the 2014 Easter break. We hope to see even more of you there. Please share the VASTROC experience around, share you pictures on the ASV Facebook page, and encourage others to attend NACAA 2014.

Thank you... ASV President.:thanx:
