Hi All

Conditions were quite good and consistent yesterday in Sydney, so I decided to have a go at a full disk just for a change. I have to say mosaics are a chore but satisfying when they work. Taken with the Lunt 80 and DMK41 camera.

Not that that much surface action going on with a distinct lack of filaments, however old sol is still a fine sight.

The embedded image is somewhat constrained by the upload size limitation and you can find a larger sized (eyeful) at 50% of full size at the following link:

Thanks

Hi Ted

Followed the link to the uncompressed version and then opened the full size image – wow! The view on my 1920x1200 screen was something else; there is so much to look at in that image.

Cheers

Dennis

Looks good Ted. Been chomping at the bit to get out again myself, but work and clouds are getting in the way at present.

I've long suspected it was only a matter of time before you moved on to imaging high res whole solar hemispheres... Very nicely done

Thanks Peter, I am still finding it hard going. Even now I was doing some repro on the larger Flickr image and reloading. Need a bit more practice if I can stand the time taken to get it right.

Thanks Paul, I hear ya!

Thanks John
